As a member organization, we are committed to safeguarding your personal information as if it were our own, because as members also, it is our information. This web page is being provided to you so you may understand what information may be gathered about you and how we share it.
In order to provide you with financial services and products, we obtain information about you from credit and savings applications, transactions, consumer reporting agencies and public records such as real estate records or telephone numbers. There are times when we are required by law to provide information about you to a third party. Examples of this would be in response to a subpoena or court order, judicial process or to audit- ors and regulatory authorities.
Other examples would be to consumer reporting agencies and to protect against fraud. AppleTree Credit Union also uses several service providers to assist in the processing of your transactions such as billing services, mailing services, insurers, attorneys, inspectors and other professionals.
We have not and do not “sell” your information to marketing organizations without a connection to a product or service offered by the credit union. The credit union does not currently offer nonpublic personal information to any nonaffiliated third party. Yet, if you desire to be excluded in the event this situation changes, you may notify us in writing of your desire not to be included, or opt-out.
